We Need Volunteers

Lynn White

Executive Director

Lynn comes to The Feline Fix with a background in accounting and finance as well as experience in the veterinary industry and the nonprofit sector. She received her BS/MS in Accounting with a specialization in Audit, and held a variety of positions in public, private, and corporate accounting and finance. A life-long animal lover, Lynn went back to school to obtain her Associate degree in Veterinary Technology and worked in a clinic capacity as a Certified Veterinary Technician for a number of years. Wanting to find a position that would combine her passion for animals with her finance experience, she took a job as Director of Finance for a non-profit veterinary hospital. The combination of non-profit animal welfare finance has been the perfect fit for her skills and her career goal to help make the world a better place. She has recently been working as a finance consultant for non-profit organizations of various types through her company, “Cents of Purpose.” Lynn is thrilled and humbled to have the opportunity to join The Feline Fix as its Executive Director and support its mission in a significant way!

Lynn is an Air Force brat who has lived a life of adventure and exposure to many different people and experiences. She fell in love with Colorado during a visit while in college and has made the Denver area her home for the last 24 years. She now shares a home in Lakewood with her husband, Roberto, and her three recent foster-fail kittens, Mac, Queso, and Kahlua (all from The Feline Fix, of course!). Her hobbies include acting, learning to speak Spanish, and outdoor activities like snowboarding and hiking. She has climbed 11 of Colorado’s 14er peaks and looks forward to embracing all of life’s challenges yet to come!

Dr. Heather Reeder, DVM

Lead Veterinarian

Dr. Reeder has been practicing for 24 years. She has been in private practice and worked at shelters including Dumb Friends League, Aurora Animal Shelter and The Cat Care Society. She has filled in at The Feline Fix for many years doing surgeries, and she is excited to be here weekly for Spay/Neuter Clinics and our Wellness Clinics. She lives in Denver with her husband, two teenagers and three cats and a dog.

Morgan

Clinic Coordinator

Morgan, a dedicated vegan and member of the LGBTQIA+ community, is new to the animal care field and the organization. However, they have always had a passion for animals and their well-being. They serve the Feline Fix as the clinic coordinator, focusing on client communications, administrative duties and snuggling cats. They are a proud parent to their cat with FIV named Herman as well as their fish and snails.

Kate

Veterinary Assistant

Kate started as a Clinic Volunteer in June 2017 and officially joined The Feline Fix’s staff in December 2018. She is responsible for pre-surgery patient preparation and assisting the veterinarian during wellness appointments. She also works part time at a veterinary dentistry practice. When not snuggling every cat that walks through our doors, she can be found traveling to national parks and birding as much as she can. She is the proud mom of the world’s most stubborn chiweenie, a handful of cats, and the occasional foster kitten.

Maddy

Foster & Adoption Coordinator

Maddy comes to the Feline Fix with a year of experience in animal welfare, specifically with felines in a higher volume shelter setting. She was a neighborhood pet sitter from a young age and has always had a special place in her heart for feline friends. Maddy has both professional and personal experience fostering neonatal kittens, weaning kittens, and mommas with babies. Her biggest passion is helping to raise orphaned bottle babies and watching them find their forever home in the end!

Bernadette

Lead Veterinary Technician

Bernadette is a Colorado native. She had been doing relief help for The Feline Fix for many years before becoming a part of the team in 2020. She has been a Certified Veterinary Technician for 13 years and is passionate about helping animals in need, especially cats. Bernadette, also known as Bernie, is responsible for patient care, anesthesia, pre-and post-operative patient assessment, surgical preparation, administration of vaccinations/medications and oversees the veterinary clinic/administrative duties. She is a proud mom of her foster-fail (from The Feline fix) Phoebe. Bernie’s hobbies are party planning, traveling with her (soon-to-be) husband Cody, crafting up a storm and being outdoors.

Stacey Baum

Development and Marketing Director

Stacey originally began working for The Feline Fix in 2017.  At the time, she served as the Development, Marketing & Events Director in charge of fundraising, the Stray Cat Strut, and rebranding the organization.  Although she left in 2019 to spend more time with her family, she missed the organization and is very excited to be back!  Stacey has been in the animal welfare arena for over 20 years, working in Colorado, Arizona and California.  She has been fundraising, handling marketing and communications, and executing events since 2000.
